Jewish Plays Project congratulates and recommends SPACE LASER, IN SPACE! as one of six Finalists for our first 10 Min Play Contest OOF:On One Foot, which searched nationally for plays from artists of all backgrounds responding to our prompt on healing & repair. SPACE LASER, IN SPACE! resonated strongly with our selection committee & audiences at the Festival of New Jewish Theatre, who appreciated its complex storytelling & how this short play theatrically expressed the theme of healing & repair.

Blevins expertly crafts a narrative that is both thought-provoking and engaging, delivering sharp commentary on cultural identity and historical trauma. This play is a compelling blend of science fiction and personal drama, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. With a unique setting, high stakes, well-rounded characters, it is incredibly poignant- I loved it!
