Jewish Plays Project would like to acknowledge that 2 PHILOSOPHERS 1 STONE received Commended status for our first Ten Minute Play Contest OOF: On One Foot, which searched nationally for plays from artists of all backgrounds responding to our prompt on healing & repair. Our Artist Panel readers appreciated the craft, style, and creativity, as well as how it theatrically expressed the first annual contest theme of healing & repair.

Exquisite language, effortless erudition, flawless comic rhythms, heady speculative inventions, an unexpectedly moving beating human heart and a killer title besides. Some short plays are a snapshot, others aspire to be a journey; this one's a tonal and temporal epic.

Intriguing. I enjoyed the language usage throughout the play. Having two characters that have different ways of communicating is always fun to witness.

Live forever? Proctor's insightful short play tackles the idea with a sweet blend of anachronism and comedy. Highly recommend!!!

This is delicious! Wonderful commentary on immortality and relationships.

Highly enjoyable philosophical debate about the allure of immortality. A witty, well constructed dialogue full of poetics. Certainly rewarding characters for any actor to perform.

"2 Philosophers 1 Stone" is a treasure of a short play - I love the interplay of verse and stylistic anachronism in this piece, the way the dynamic of these two characters is captured with humor and sophistication by Erin Proctor. Not only that, but what a killer title! Highly recommended.
