Whoever thinks "hell is other people" clearly has not eaten bread before. A uniquely terrifying experience, FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY successfully molds darkness, mystery, and horror under the crust of romantic comedy. Prillaman uses every possible scenario when baking this play, buttering it with absurdity and humor to ensure each slice of the couple's life inside the "restaurant" hits as intended. I was left flabbergasted in the best way possible. (Abandon all hope ye with gluten intolerance.)

The nature of life is to find oneself trapped in mundane horrors of one’s own making. This play reminds us that the horrors are less horrible when you’re facing them with someone you love. Prillaman’s mastery of the absurd is on full display in this hilarious and heartfelt work, whose dark yet comforting tone makes you want to cling to your partner and tell them how much you appreciate them (if you have one. If not, it’ll probably just give you nightmares about bread.)

Wherever you think this is going, you’re not thinking far enough. Prillaman spins out a small memetic joke & somehow makes it funnier, weirder, sexier, grosser, scarier, & more heartwarming than the audience could ever prepare for. The audio version on Gather By The Ghost Light is fantastic.
