In this witty and deeply emotional play, Stephanie explores the politics of the Korean American experience, as well as the more intimate pressures of parental/community expectation and shame--and does it all with deft double-casting, laugh-out-loud humor and heartwrending magic. By flipping the patriarchy to privilege women, Emily skillfully (and hilariously) reveals the deeply seated sexism ingrained in our lives, from everyday marriages to political campaigns. Emily's innovative integration of technology with theatrical writing adds complexity and vibrancy to this fast-paced, feminist interrogation of immigration, class, and labor in America.
