Balancing clever humor with depth, the prolonged game Michael attempts with Death let's us consider the final moments in a tender manner. Having the opportunity to watch this production, it gives the audience moments of light laughter, serious contemplation, and love.

I really enjoyed the fun trick on never play chess with death. I think this can be portrayed in many different ways which allows for a ton of versatility!

This is a neat trick. A credible tale of meeting Death at the end of a difficult life which is affirming, warm, funny, even sweet. Sickles adds to the mythology of what is there with us at the very end and the effect is compelling.
