missy - frontwoman of the band, MC, announcer extraordinaire. a well-seasoned veteran of the extreme. she’s seen too much. she cares about the competitors, but will always protect herself first. who can blame her? anthem - appropriate by priests

the band - inspired by mannequin pussy, the chorus, the bridge between the reality of the mud and the audience. almost always present.

the insinerator - a competitor. reigning champion of the last extreme. the projected victor. loyal. wants everyone to believe she has the thickest skin. a big old softie on the inside. anthem - double down by slothrust (secretly please, please, please, let me get what i want by the smiths)

deb - literally a small rag doll. should not be played by a human actor. the insinerator’s sidekick, sister, best friend, #1 fan. anthem - the next curse by slothrust and lzzy hale

garbage fire - a competitor. tough. brute force. always making observations. highly intelligent. knows to keep her cards close to her chest. anthem - patience by mannequin pussy

diet sludge - a competitor. very femme. loves bubbles and hot pink. she’s often underestimated, and she likes it that way. it keeps the element of surprise on her side. anthem - perfect by mannequin pussy

cig butt - owner and operator of the pit stop. incredibly resourceful. coming to terms with how she is complicit in the extreme. and she’s mad about it. becoming radicalized. anthem - favourite thing by shitkid

a note on casting - there are no cis men. at least half of the cast must be POC, and at least half the cast must be TGNC. all gender expressions (especially TGNC) and body types are encouraged. please adjust pronouns accordingly.
