Somehow horrifying, funny, and heartwarming all at the same time, FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY asks the question, "Just how much can love conquer? And can it survive large amounts of bread?" It was lovely to see how Arlo and Val's relationship evolved as their situation continued, and the ending was a fantastic furthering of the dramatic question. A uniquely terrifying experience, FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY successfully molds darkness, mystery, and horror under the crust of romantic comedy. Prillaman uses every possible scenario when baking this play, buttering it with absurdity and humor to ensure each slice of the couple's life inside the "restaurant" hits as intended. I was left flabbergasted in the best way possible. (Abandon all hope ye with gluten intolerance.)
